Nekomaki promo

Finally hoping to get my original design of "NekoMaki" the Sushi Cat made into a plushie!

I love taking product photos, and especially love combining that with art! I really wanted to stick with the sushi theme, so like a nerd, I ordered a legit sushi boat on amazon for product photos and promo ads like this one XD. Not gonna like, it was highly amusing and super fun! For those that aren't familiar with this reference, at sushi restaraunts you can order a "sushiboat" of sushi. It's a huge order of sushi served on a wooden sushi boat. Since Nekomaki is sushi I thought the pun would be fun.

I used a canon rebel xsi for photos, a makeshift "lightbox" with white foamboard, and photoshop for the digital elements and retouching and cleanup.

The NekoMaki Indiegogo is set to launch October 12!! If we can reach certain stretch goals I may have them in time for Christmas but I’ll need all the help I can get to reach the goal first!
